A lifting sling is a component that will connect a machine, machine or lifting device to a load to be lifted, pulled or moved.
Lifting slings are finished with the sling accessories of your choice. These sling accessories are usually made of steel such as hooks, shackles, rings, links or lugs.
The slings can be made of cable, chain or textile and have 1, 2, 3 or 4 strands depending on the load to be lifted.
To choose your sling, you must first know what type of sling you want to use: cable, chain or textile. Then you have to choose the capacity or maximum working load (MWL) per strand and the useful length, which is the length between the two gripping points.
Lifting slings, whether rope, chain or textile, are therefore essential for all load lifting operations.
